   Vluchtelingenwerk Vlaanderen (Refugee Work Flanders) booked Event Fundraising success with Dutch partner Kentaa. It proved a fruitful collaboration: the Refugee Walk had 1,600 participants who raised more than € 331,000 via www.refugeewalk.be.

5. Freedom and flexibility in fundraising event Refugee Walk

   Manu Van Roosbroeck is responsible for fundraising at Vluchtelingenwerk Vlaanderen. The Refugee Walk by Vluchtelingenwerk Vlaanderen is a fairly well-known event, that made a switch in 2020. Since 2016 every last weekend of September this big walking sponsorship event is being organised.

She told us about how Bozar and specifically her department coped with the disasters of the restrictions that came with the pandemic and the consequences of the fire in Bozar in January 2021.

Notre inventaire de problèmes repose sur 3 piliers : gagner du temps, encourager la générosité et obtenir de meilleures règles pour les récoltes de fonds. La Coalition impact reste déterminée à trouver une solution à tous les problèmes, mais se concentrera sur quelques points prioritaires à court et moyen terme.

10. De impactCoalitie zet verder in op het vrijmaken van tijd en middelen voor een optimale werking van jouw organisatie

    De uitdagingen voor de goede doelensector zijn talrijk. Dat werd nogmaals duidelijk bij de lancering van de impactCoalitie in april dit jaar. Onze lijst van knelpunten is gebaseerd op drie pijlers: tijd winnen, vrijgevigheid stimuleren en betere regels bekomen voor fondsenwerving. De impactCoalitie blijft zich inzetten voor een oplossing voor elk van deze knelpunten, maar zal zich de komende weken en maanden focussen op enkele specifieke zaken.
